Yvette Aragon-Janacua is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, currently working in the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry clinic at Harbor UCLA. Mrs. Aragon-Janacua earned a Master’s in Social Welfare from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2015 and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2012.

Mrs. Aragon-Janacua is currently a fellow for the DMH-UCLA Early Childhood Fellowship 2019-2020 Cohort. As part of this cohort, Mrs. Aragon-Janacua has participated in trainings to enhance her knowledge of best practices in working with the 0-5 populations and is currently working towards development of clinic based programming for children aged 0-5. Mrs. Aragon-Janacua has been trained and certified in the following treatment modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Triple P Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression (IPT), Seeking Safety. Additionally, Mrs. Aragon-Janacua has received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), and Promoting First Relationships (PFR). She is a current member of the child and adolescent Dialectical Behavioral Therapy treatment team at Harbor UCLA. Mrs. Aragon-Janacua has served as a field instructor for MSW Graduate students during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Prior to joining the Harbor UCLA child and adolescent clinic, Mrs. Aragon-Janacua worked at a community based mental health clinic in SPA 4 providing field and clinic based services including: psychotherapy, crisis intervention, family therapy, case management, and parenting classes. Mrs. Aragon-Janacua has worked in various outpatient settings, RRR clinics, as well as worked in collaboration with Wraparound providers.
